Assessment

A full dyslexia assessment allows me to build a detailed picture of an individual’s strengths and difficulties. I use a range of standardised tests, observations, and background information to assess literacy, cognitive processing, and learning profiles. The assessment results in a clear, personalised report with practical recommendations to support learning, access arrangements, and reasonable adjustments in education or the workplace.

Dyslexia
Screening

Dyslexia screening is a shorter, initial process that helps me identify indicators of dyslexia. I use targeted screening tools and background information to highlight possible areas of difficulty and strength. While it is not diagnostic, screening can suggest whether a full dyslexia assessment would be beneficial and helps guide next steps for support, learning strategies, or further assessment.

Specialist Dyslexia
Tutoring

I offer specialist dyslexia tutoring tailored to individual learning profiles. Sessions are structured, evidence based, and multi-sensory, focusing on reading, spelling, writing, and underlying skills. I work at a supportive pace to build confidence as well as competence, helping learners develop effective strategies that can be transferred into school, further education, or the workplace.

I offer EHCP support for parents who need guidance through the assessment and application process. I help interpret reports, contribute clear professional advice, and support evidence gathering to ensure a child’s needs are accurately represented. My aim is to empower parents, reduce uncertainty, and help secure appropriate provision so children receive the support they need to thrive in education.

I offer online tutoring for Key Stages 1 and 2, tailored to each child’s individual needs and learning style. I work from a stage not age perspective. This means I will tutor your child at the stage of education that they are working at not necessarily the age group they are in if this is what they need. I believe that my sessions focus on building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while boosting confidence and enjoyment in learning. Using structured, multisensory approaches, I help children develop skills at their own pace and feel more positive and secure in the classroom.

I conduct assessments for Exam Access Arrangements (EAA) in line with Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) requirements. These assessments identify specific learning needs and determine appropriate accommodations, ensuring compliance with official guidelines. The resulting reports provide clear, evidence-based recommendations that schools and exam boards can rely on to support learners fairly and accurately during assessments.
